Kyla's HEARTFELT Album Released

The princess of R&B is back with a brand new album called HEARTFELT. Kyla will again prove that she deserves the title as the country’s R&B princess with the album’s carrier single LOVE WILL LEAD YOU BACK. Delivering a collection of heartfelt and powerful cover ballads and soulful r&B from equally successful hit makers of all time, Kyla’s album HEARTFELT is now available in all music stores nationwide.

HEARTFELT boasts 16 tracks of Kyla’s remake of the great love hits spanning decades of good old school standard to modern r&b. Kyla’s version of Taylor Dane’s hit in the 80s LOVE WILL LEAD YOU BACK... which peaked at # 2 at LOVE RADIO respectively. A heartfelt video that unravels the love gone wrong story in a music video will be aired soon as directed by Mark Mendoza.

HEARTFELT will definitely showcase Kyla’s gifts as a distinctive, no non-sense powerhouse vocalist and she can definitely does a revival like her own. Kyla’s new album will take you to a journey from her version of a classic song of a classic contemporary R&B legend, Luther Vandross, with ALWAYS AND FOREVER; to OVER THE RAINBOW of Patti Labelle which Kyla singles out to be one of her favorite songs; to a perennial wedding song FOR YOU of Kenny Lattimore; to WITH THIS TEAR of Celine Dion; to Michael Jackson’s ONE DAY IN YOUR LIFE.

Kyla includes only one original r&b on the set called SOMEONE, a tale of modern love. Kyla also does her own rendition of an r&b favorite WAIT FOR YOU which was originally sung by American Idol finalist Elliot Yamin. OPM remake also includes Joey Albert’s IT’S OVER NOW.

And when you’re noting factors that spurred Kyla’s groundbreaking success, her fresh-faced enthusiasm and accessible demeanor have proved as beneficial as her powerful vocals. Kyla’s, celebrating her seventh year in the music business; she has released five successful albums under EMI Phils namely Way To Your Heart (2001); self-titled Kyla (2002); I Will Be There (2003); Not Your Ordinary Girl (2004/Platinum record) and Beautiful Days (2006).

Aside from promoting her latest and sixth disc under EMI Phils., Kyla is busy doing projects at her home network GMA 7 as she’s been seen every Sunday at SOP and as one of the celebrity judges of Coca-Cola’s reality talent search Ride To Fame. Dying OPM...

When will this song revivals end? Original Pilipino Music (OPM) is sinking down... Why don't we make some original music? There are many good composers out there who are waiting to be discovered, for example Jonathan Manalo who produce and compose the hit singles of 2001 like I Feel For You, Beautiful Days. OPM Artists like Christian Bautista, Nina, Sitti, and many more should not only focus for the fame and money that they are getting from their fans (I know fans love revivals but you have to set a new trend for the dying OPM industry). I know when you do revivals they become instant hit because you'd done a pretty good job in justifying a that remake song, but, please can we expect something fresh from you? Being an Artist and at the same time a Celebrity is difficult, but, you must try to sing an original song that people would remember, a song that will make a history in OPM, a signature song of yours that people would sing along in a karaoke in that way you'll be remembered as an Artist and a Celebrity not a celebrity who don't have an Artistry.
