I never thought that old school Nursery Rhymes had a dark and gloomy history, I am a sorta historian, sadly my parents didn't taught me any nursery rhymes (am such a LOSER!) and I was unaware that some of the Nursery Rhymes lyrics were used to represent or parody the political and royal events of the day they were made (maybe parents sang those nursery rhymes to their children back then so that somehow their children can have an idea of what is happening to their community).
BTW, got this information from Yoshke
